Franco Ballabio

Franco Ballabio is the Chairman & CEO of COMI SpA and COMI Group. He functions as the President of COMI Aerospace.

Title

He is the CEO and Chairman of the Comi Group, a leading company in the design and manufacturing of thermoforming machines for the white goods market. During the years, the company has made various corporate acquisitions and specialized in other technologies to offer its customers a 360° personalized offer. Comi Group today produce machines in metal sheet, presses, CNC, waterjet, and laser-cut technologies in many sectors. With his
expertise in leading the COMI Group, which has 50 years of experience and over 200 employees and multiple facilities around the world, he will lead COMI Aerospace and with-it growth, innovation, and quality.
After guiding COMI to its status as a well-established international company, widely acknowledged in its sector, Franco Ballabio is set to lead Comi Aerospace to a prosperous future. With three decades of invaluable experience in the industrial landscape, he is well-positioned to share his extensive expertise and ensure a successful partnership.

Giovanni Nozza

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

 

Giovanni Nozza has been working for the COMI Group since 2018 as General Manager and now he holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of COMI Aerospace.

Title

Giovanni Nozza began his career in 1989 in the industrial sector, holding various positions, from the Shift manager in Tenaris Group, he held the position of Production Manager in OVV Company where managed 90 workers divided into 4 departments. In 2003 he worked as Operations Manager for Manni Sipre, where he managed the headquarter production site. Since 2018 he has held the role of General Manager of the Comi Group with 6 production
sites in Italy and 4 foreign commercial and technical offices. Based on his past experiences Giovanni Nozza has gained great experience in business management. Today he holds the role of CEO of Comi Aerospace, where thanks to his many years of experience in the industrial sector he will be able to make a great contribution to the take-off of the company.

Giuseppe Biamonte

General Manager & Accountable Manager

 

Giuseppe Biamonte is the co-founder of Comi Aerospace and the General Manager and Accountable Manager.

Title

From 1991 to 2002 he held numerous positions in the company Avio Interiors of Latina, at that time the largest manufacturer of aircraft interiors in Italy and one of the most important worldwide.
These positions included: Head of Testing Laboratories, Head of Program Management, Director of Logistics, Technical Director, Operations Director.
In the IACOBUCCI company in Frosinone, he has held the positions of Technical Director, Production Director and Maintenance Manager since 2002.
Starting from 2007, he has collaborated with the Geven company in Naples to obtain the AIRBUS qualified supplier status according to GRESS  equirements. Today Geven is the most important aircraft interior manufacturer in Italy. In 2009, together with three other partners, he founded and started the company Optimares in Latina holding the position of Director of Operations until 2016 and obtaining APDOA and POA corporate certifications and ETSOs C39c and C127a for numerous Economy, Business and First-Class seat models installed in Airbus A320, Boeing 757 and 767. In 2015, he founded ACDC-UG for which he obtained in 2016 the APDOA certification with the role of CEO & HDO.
Due to his many past experiences in the aerospace industry and as director of operations and director of strategic planning and technical, he is now the General Manager & Accountable Manager at Comi Aerospace. With his expertise and specific knowledge, he can elevate the technical division to a new level and assure high quality.

Fredrik Meloni

Commercial Director

 

Frederik Meloni is the co-founder of Comi Aerospace and the Commercial Director.

Title

Born in 1982, he graduated from Lord Ashcroft International Business School (LAIBS) in Cambridge, UK. His experiences in the aerospace industry and abroad as a business and commercial consultant enabled him to define commercial contracts and after-sales services with major players in the aviation segment abroad.
From 2010 to 2012 in the Latina-based company Avio-Interiors, he held the position of Regional Sales Director Asia acquiring orders from leading airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Thai Air, Cathay Pacific, and AVIC (Aviation Industries of China). After that, he collaborated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the role of Program Officer at the Italian Embassy in Beijing, for the implementation of cooperation projects between Italy and China in the fields of Civil Aviation, Health, and Environmental Protection.
And from 2015 to 2018 in the company Società Italiana Elicotteri Agusta Westland, now Leonardo, he held the position of Chief Officer China managing in China the sale of spare parts to local customers for AW 109, AW119, AW139 helicopters.
He now holds the position of sales manager at Comi Aerospace and can use his profound knowledge of the markets to introduce the company to them.

Giovanni Santarelli

Giovanni Santarelli joined the COMI Group with the position of Program Management Director in Comi Aerospace.

Title

Born in 1985, from 2007 to 2011 he worked at the Avio Interiors company in Latina, first as a Certifying Engineer and then as a Design Engineer. Subsequently he started working at Optimares in Sezze first as Certification Engineer then as Certification Manager.
He actively contributed to obtaining all the product certifications (ETSO) obtained by the company on the B757, B767, B787, A330 and A321 Neo platforms, also holding the role of Deputy Technical Director. In this capacity he played a decisive role in the accreditation of the Engineering department as an official subcontractor of Airbus. And since May 2023 he has held the role of Quality and Safety Manager in Comi Aerospace. Since Comi Aerospace aims for high quality and safety products, it is essential to have Santarelli among the ranks of Comi Aerospace.

Angelo Gallo

planning & logistic manager

 

Angelo Gallo is part of the COMI Group as the Planning Logistic Manager for Comi Aerospace.

Title

Born in 1975 started his career in 1997 to 2007, when he worked for Rail Interiors, a railway division of the Avio Interiors Group, holding the positions of Design Engineer, Program Management Manager and Director of Operations. He then moved to the Avio Interiors company in Latina, where he held the positions of Production Manager and Program Management Manager. Since 2014 he has been working for DPG Consulting as Technical Director. At Comi Aerospace he holds the position as Head of Project Engineering. Since joining the Comi Group, he adds his value with the knowledge he gained from his previous position and his entrepreneurial sense to create innovations in the aerospace sector.

Andrea Morucci

Andrea Morucci is part of the COMI Group as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Comi Aerospace.

Title

Morucci has more than 20 years of experience in the aerospace sector; he specializes in aeronautical design and ballistic protection systems.
