Our history
1973
COMI is established in August 1973 with the aim of designing and producing thermoforming machinery, specifically for the refrigeration sector.
When the significant development abroad consolidated the company as a reference player in the refrigeration sector, the management decided to diversify its range of solutions through the expansion of its staff, hiring specific technically skilled people, together with an intense activity of company acquisitions.
1973 – 1979
Comi starts producing thermoforming and Laser Cutting machines with 3/5 axis.
1997-2009 Comi SpA creates “Techmill”, a company specialized in the design and manufacturing of CNC machining centres especially for automotive & aerospace sectors.
COMI start a partnership with LDSA, leading company in the production of Waterjet cutting machines.
2010 – 2015
COMI acquires CMB, an Italian company specialized inthermoforming machines for the packaging industry, BENAZZATO, specialized in the manufactures in CNC for heavy duty applications and PARCO, specialized in single station thermoforming solutions. COMI start a joint venture with AMUT SpA and born Amut Comi company.
2016 – 2019
COMI acquires TEAS, now Comi Automation, specialized in automation and metal sheet lines. The company open 4 subsidiaries abroad in EAU, USA, China and Germany.
2020 – 2023
COMI became a Group and acquires Amut Comi, now Comi Packaging.
COMI Aerospace, specialized in aircraft seats joins the Group and also ACS World, specialized in aviation spare parts.
Comi Aerospace marks the entry of a new member of the Comi Family that strives for innovation and quality in the Aerospace sector.
